CISCO SYSTEMS LAUDS WECO SYSTEMS GROUP
Weco Systems Group, a Systems Integration group, a CISCO CERTIFIED PREMIER PARTNER, has been commended for its strong and aggressive go-to-market strategy coupled by its commitment to grow the Cisco market share in Nigeria and beyond.
The Vice President, Middle East and Africa, Cisco Systems, Mr. Mark De Simone made the commendation while he paid a business visit to the Corporate Headquarters of Weco Systems Group last week.
Simone was impressed by the dynamism and professionalism Weco Systems Group has built around itself. His words, "I am impressed by your drive and technology focus. You can count on my support".
In his response, the Chief Executive Officer, Weco Systems Group, Mr. Uchenna Obidike reiterated the Company's commitment to the growth of Cisco's share of the Nigerian market. The duo agreed that there are massive business opportunities in Nigeria yet to be tapped hence they are to jointly launch a more aggressive enroute into the market particularly into the public sector and the service providers. This means that Cisco will be making further investments in the Nigerian market.
Simone spent some time to educate Weco Systems Group management team on Cisco technological road maps. A company that spends over $3b annually on R&D should be taken very serious. He pledged an un-alloyed commitment of Cisco's MEA top management to Nigerian market. He said that there would be regular technological updates for partners and the end users with of view of ensuring investment protection and value creation.
In his remarks, Mr. Uchenna Obidike stated that Weco Systems has invested massively on skills and development and reiterated company's resolve to do more. According to him, this is necessary if "we are to meet and exceed increasing customers' expectations".
He added that today's business is all about reducing operating costs and increasing shareholders' value. As a Systems Integrator, our job revolves around helping our customers navigate through their maze of requirements and options by designing and implementing technology solutions that consider these disparate systems and deliver the best available functionality.
In the Cisco team led by Mark De Simone were Anthony Vonsee, General Manager, Sub- Saharan Africa, Drew Murray and Kayode Jegede of Cisco Nigeria.
In the Weco team led by Uchenna Obidike were Obinna Ekwonwa, Patrick Ihezie and Olusola Bankole, the Chief Operating Officers of Connectworks, NIMsol and Weco Systems respectively.
